How can I tell if a pro action skid is long travel viper or srx. I thought I had a viper skid from what the previous owner said. But I've been advised that it may be a regular srx skid. Is there a measurement I can check to tell the difference?

How far does it look like the shock will compress? If it hasn't been wiped clean, you might see a place on the shaft where it has been stopping.

I don't know about the SRX skid but the long travel uses a 18 5/8" eye to eye rear shock.

Thanks. That is the measurement. But is the srx shock different/shorter ??

Is that the only difference? There are pics of it on my for sale thread in the classified. A lot of guys want parts of it, it is super clean. I don't want to ship the wrong parts to someone.

Don't off hand know measurements but if it were a stock long travel then it would have longer limiter straps and also longer transfer rods. my srx had a thicker spacer for the gap in the transfer rods, believe the vipers I've had were both thin ones
