97 Vmax 700 suspension and 2 up conversion?

Hey all,
I have a 97 Vmax 700 and I LOVE IT!
However, I have come to the conclusion that it's a pain in the *** to ride with 2 people since it's not a 2 up.. The other thing is, I have a bad back. So even just riding by myself the seat is to low and my back starts to ache. Is there any way to do a 2 up conversion and raise my seat up to sit higher.
I also would like to put a suspension in that give me a little more suspension travel for a softer ride as well as supporting more weight while having a soft ride. Is this doable, or do I need to just look for a new sled?

this sled I put a 4 inch riser wedge in it also put viper shocks on it and extended the front sus pension straps. rides a whole lot better, and no more achy knees! also I installed a rumble seat on it for two up that you can remove if need be! the clasps are there but the seat is off it now.

And cheaper than a new sled. Long travel the shocks and revalve to your liking. I had to put a FAT BOY spring on mine as well. 6'3" & 300#s.

the wedge you'll have to make (there are instructions on this site ) the shocks youll have to buy along with the limiter straps and the rumble seat ,I think I got that thru Dennis kirk!

This would be perfect!! You say there instructions on making these wedges for under the seat on here? Would you happen to have a link to a good write up on it handy?

ya look in the tech sec . under misc. and you'll find the seat riser build. Its for a viper but it works for the vmax as well! If you have any problems or questions .,just ask. Its fairly simple to do and you can modify it to your liking
 
If you consider converting to a Viper seat, I'll have one soon that has added foam to increase rider height and comfort. It's in very good condition. Can send you a photo of you'd like.
