Hey fellas, I was cranking down my limiter straps for radar runs this weekend and I ripped both of them where the bolt goes through, maybe because suspension was hanging while I was tightening them, and I didn't have a block under the skid. These were both brand new last season and are kinda pricey ...has anyone ever tried a different material, I have an old set of seatbelts lying around here I might cut to size and try them for limiter straps, maybe they won't break as easy......has anyone tried a different strap?

How many layers of ply are in one of them.
I have used belting from the hay baler a few times
