Now that my remaining sled count equals 100% Yamaha I figured I better stop lurking and join. Going to try and get one long weekend trip in b4 spring and trying to glean as much info on my 1994 Enticer long track as I can. checking it over i find the heavy arse skis are sloppy as well as too much play in the steering. is there a quick fix DIY bushing kit to get things shored up. I picked up a few zerks for the skis, is it possible to add them to the suspension points as well?
I will most likely update to those monster wide skis or skins next season but for now trying to do a quick fix. anyone know the volume of gear oil in case. I have added a heck of a lot imo and not hit the level.
glad to have something a tad easier on the back w/ reverse. Bought an Inviter last year to get the grandson into the sport. Love it so much i had to buy something comparable (have the Blue '89 Inviter) to go with is so this 94 seemed like a nice fit. Have buzzed to and from the ice house so far and like it but gotta get the steering/balance better.
not a big time wrencher btw, but have a nice heated shop for the first time and can do the basics required.

Post #44 for the grease zerks.

My steering was also abit sloppy. I just had to go through the steering system and tighten things up. Snug them up till they just barely start to bind, then slightly back em off. The Teflon washers on the scissors are probably slightly worn but still serviceable.

Welcome to the site. These sleds were based on the phazer II but are great sleds for work as well as play.My fathers 1996 version( http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/...K540IV-blown-plastic-skis-on-EnticerII410)has many mods.Grease fittings install in the rear(ever pivot point) makes the ride a lot better.Grease fittings on the front steering knuckle gets rid of frozen steering. As for tighten the front suspension I install the shim kit years ago with some luck in getting a tighter steering feel. Also install some wire-wrap on the wire coming out of the motor that goes under the front motor mount(below Y-pipe).
