Does anyone know what size bearing race puck to press in a primary clutch cover bushing? I have access to a press just dont know what size bearing race puck to use to support and press in bushing. Or any other ideas to use with press to get this in. I found a cool tool someone made in a search that someone had machined a big nut to work but i dont have anyone to make me one and i need this done before weekend. Thanks for any help and ideas!

i dont know the size of the bushing off hand but alot of times i have squeeked out by using sockets the right size, see if you can get one just smaller then the od of the bushing and use it upside down so it pushes on the whole lip then use socket that fits inside the bushing to use a guide so the bushing wont crush and expand inside the bore diameter.

This is a great option. I don't have bushing yet as I had to order one. Don do you think a bearing race puck would work if I found right size? If not I'll go with socket idea!

chris I bought a clutch bushing tool while back from hauck. im sure a site sponsor can get u one. it does the primary, secondary, and cap bushings. your welcome to borrow if needed just pay shipping both ways.

Thanks for the offer, think I'll see if they still sell them. I would borrow it but not enough time before weekend to ship and I think I'll have a extra sled now. Still going to try redneck way to see how I do. Will post back.

A bushing driver set is a very nice tool to have. I was just looking at them on amazon. I like the OTC ones but a little pricey. I have 2 bushing drivers, 1 for air brake anchor pin bushings and one for "S" cam bushings. Both too small for that job.
