I'm ready to do this mod on my VMax but I've been doing some research on this and alot of people are say you should jet the carbs after altering airflow in a 2-stroke, Now im pretty sure my sled already has the thinner head gasket and aluminum reed spacers on it, and the thing pulls like a train for an older machine, I want the sound of a can but im not wasting money on an aftermarket can, Just wondering if there are any dangers of doing this mod to the engine, Im sure someone on this forum has it done, any and all info would be nice

Had all that stuff done to mine too. No need to rejet AT ALL! You'll still be plenty safe with stock jetting. Get-er-done

What temp have you found it to be safe down to? Any -20f riding? Just curios thanks.

I did ride @ 0 (zero) before with that set-up. Plugs looked fine.
