Hello everyone I recently purchased a set of 96 vmax 600s and are stock as far as I can tell. Looking on here for some mods....found a couple so far including adding a thinner head gasket....I think thats where I want to begin, although I have been looking on here with no success....guys talk about it but not really sure where to find one...any help? Also any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

Any Motorsports dealer can order the gasket. I ordered an OEM.

Do the set-up at the very top of the page.
I used that set set w/brand spanking new primary & secondary springs. I used an 8bvfa yamaha helix and a brand new Carlisle belt. Page 79

Danny, so you recommend leaning things up then?

I am on the nervous side of things and actually installed a larger main jet, and raised the needles 1/2 a notch to richen.

Just curious, but what do you see for top speed now vs stock?

Ok got the gasket kit and the way the weather looks, done riding for the season. So looking for step by step instructions on how to do the installation and other things to check/change/replace? I can add that it seemed to be a bit of a gas hog.
