Hello All, I have a mystery on my hands. One of many. Anyway I have a 2001 Mountain Max. it makes a gurgling noise when It is sitting. It is the sound of air and water exchanging places. bud, dud, dud ,duh. It is not continuous, but cycles gurgles for a bit silent for a while. I have tried to locate it, it resonates, but seems to be coming from the gas tank overfull pipe that comes out above the riders left foot. I looked in the tank with a scope. I did not see bubbles. I am at a loss. Any Help here?
all my sleds do that as well. I don't think its anything to worry about.

Noticed mine making a noise like that after I shut it down the other day also. I figured if it was air in the coolant I would have overheated and didn't figure anything else was important enough to worry about. Mine seemed to quit after a couple mins.

both my sleds do it. one has been doing that for 5000 miles. what tnc110 said, i wouldnt worry bout it.
It's probably the pulling of coolant back into the system from the overflow tank. That happens as the engine cools down and the coolant contracts.
