2004 viper S
Adjustable transfer rods (with blue anodized adjustment knob)
i am looking for some help explaining when and how you adjust the transfer rods on my pro action skid.
internet and shop manuals are sort of helpful but the entire process is confusing.
my sled is recently back from the shop. I had a new upper shaft installed which required de-coupling the transfer rods from the skid. i want to ensure they are "properly" asjusted. yes i realize "properly" is subject to riding style and conditions etc.
each rod has a blue anodized adjustment dial. no locknuts or anything just a dial to turn. i see some notches on the rods, what do they indicate?
adjustable transfer rod education is waht i am after. any help, advice or explanation is appriciated.
have fun, ride safe

on the viper there are 4 rings that mark each setting. First ring being position one (top ring) which is the most weight transfer and 4 being less. #3 ring is standard. Transfer is how much your rear skid will transfer wight to the back. So if you mash it and want the ski's to lift and wheele you would set the transfer rods to first ring. If you want ski's planted you go #4. I never touch these, just left at #3 when i was a 121"
