New LED headlight.

The only thing that sucks about LEDs, they are bright as hell short distance, they just dont have the projection distance as a HID.

sweet! These are DC lighting systems on the sleds I believe.

not on your 98-99 srx thats a ac current system with the original single bulb headlight sleds, the dual bulb headlights in the yamaha are dc system.

Yeah, I checked into it. An extra $20 for a rectifier. 3800 lumens is bright! A stock halogen is 1500 or less on high. I don't know if thats xenon or not. I looked at youtube videos of similar lights and they seem to project the light pretty far. I'll call DNR and see if its legal. These draw 35 watts on high. Maybe this would be the ticket on the darth viper, imagine 2 of them!
They look like they throw the light farther then a halogen. Maybe not as far as HID but I can't run one, I think you need a battery with clean 12 volts. Maybe that condensor cleans it up enough. HID's are like twice as much as leds also. The thing I don't get is if they run so cool, (the leds) why the cooling fan?

Contacted the DNR and they said you can use any lights as long as there white. The way it sounded, you can run colored leds anywhere you want as long as it doesn't interfere with required lighting. I think the pure white would be hard with the contrast of white snow. I'll look into white and slight blue and yellow on the kelvin scale. I think these only come in 1 shade. I can say that my mountain bike has a Zefal light set and the head light is 3 watt 150 lumens and its bright a heck for a bike light
