Hi everyone,
I was riding my 1991 Phazer yesterday morning, and I left it outside until the evening. When I went to put it in the garage last night, the choke knob was frozen. I of course didn't realize this, and when I attempted to use the choke I snapped the knob off and broke it. I found and ordered a replacement knob on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Sports-Parts-Choke-Repair-05-921-01/dp/B000WMIBA2), I hope that it fits well. Any idea as to how this gets installed? Must I remove the choke cable from the carbs? Do I need to loosen the nut holding the choke assembly on the dash of the sled? Any and all tips are appreciated!
Thanks,
Zack

If you just broke the lever, you can just install the new one with the old or new roll pin.
If if you broke the cable slide - dunno. I'd guess you'd have to pull it from the backside but never had one apart.
May have to pull the slide up (and hold with thin needlenose) to line up the pin holes. Start the pin into one side of the lever, align the holes and squeeze it through with pliers/channel locks.
The warmer things are the less chance of breaking - plastic and all...
