I was wondering if any ever fit a 1.75 inch track on one of these old VMax? There is a 1.25 inch track on it now and it still has a bit of clearance, Seems like if may be closer to the plastic guards on the tunnel then the heat exchanger, Or would I need to install 8 tooth drivers to get this track on it???????????

If your changing driver size pay the little extra for extrovert drivers and never worry about track tension and ratcheting again.

X2....going to an 8 tooth driver your lowering the final gear ratio which you should lower any ways to put more power to the taller lugs. May want to gear up a little in the chain case and may or may not need to fine tune clutching.....can of worms.....do you still want to open it?

I would love to open it lol, I still have stock gearing witch is 23/40, plus a few mods-head gasket mod, reed spacers and the drill factory can mod, How about a 1.5 inch with the factory 9 tooth drivers and just drop a tooth or 2 on the top gear????

Even with 1.5 and 9 tooth you need to notch the lug of the track where protectors are or remove the protectors. If your riding mostly off trail I would go with the 1.75 and 8 tooth extroverts. If you ride mostly trails 1.5 and notch or remove protectors and obviously no studs. I have a 04 Viper S 144" Hartman extension/skid relocation running 1.75 and SLP powder pro skis......flotation is AWEOME.....any of my SRX's sink like a tank where the Viper shines!

just go with 8t anti slips if you plan to gear down anyways
. Gona be around same price as the sprocket and shorter chain (not neccessary but after blowing a chaincase with that setup i dont trust it) with mods you have clutching is probably a little off anyways but i believe the extra drag from the STOCK under 1" lug track to a 1.75 will counter act gearing down.
