since im pretty green with this forum being new this year i got to thinking. what happens here in the off season? im on a couple other forums mainly hobby grade r/c helicopters and that's year around. i would think this really drops off or am i way off base? i know lots of members here love to tinker and have off season builds and will show up to do searches. so how is it around here off-season?

It tends to slow down here when the snow melts...but there are those that start there summer "to do" threads. but in general, the forum slows down during the summer months.

And there are atv forums and other stuff. I like the rc stuff too. Just read my new Tower Hobbies catalog. I have a few of there toys.

i will say this. snowmobiling is still cheaper then some of the r/c stuff. i've seen flyers wad 1500 plus on one ill finger control. guess i won't get upset about my bad exciter mpg's anymore :>))

i plan on being here year around!!!!!!!! if i can't sell off my exciter in a reasonable time i will end up building it out like i posted before. i like to be creative with stuff like this anyways. the last custom i did was hand built bellhousing adapter for my 94 toyota. total custom stepside with a small block 350 adapted to stock 6 cylinder 5 speed trans.

Your pickup. Lets see it. i had a exciter 2 race sled years ago. All the suspension and bars were lowered and it had an intake and decker twin pipes and aftermarket clutches. Blew crank and sold as it. Found it on classifieds last year and it was all put back to stock... My paint job is unmistakeable tho! 1422816259813_resized.jpg

wish i could show it as it was a real head turner. sold it a few years ago to my brother and he since sold and deleted all the old photos. that was silly really as isn't that why we take pics for a memory?!!! i'll learn someday i hope. i like the red and white. didn't some come that color? seems like more white then red?????

I am going to try to stay on this forum for the most part this offseason. I tend to obsess about whatever hobby I am into at the time but I have big plans for my srx this summer. This is the only forum I have been on except the few I signed up for just to be able to search it. I will probably start a to do thread sometime. I am trying to collect parts and stuff so I can start my makeover on the srx. Probably will wait for summer to start it because if I do it too early it will drive me nuts not being able to try it out. lol The last few years I didn't have much time for more than one hobby since I worked my normal job and also did side work at home but in November I went full time at home (mostly because I couldn't work on my sled and it was pi$$ing me off) and it has freed up some time. Plus it gets boring working by myself so when I get bored I come check out TY.

Was all red. I painted it copper/red white.

Taco?? what is that? The atv section isn't active here oh something about belt drive? I rode one for the first time this winter, it was a 2008 can-am 800 something. It was fun and I couldn't believe the traction that thing had on the lake with no studs. I didn't like the engine brake effect when you let off the throttle. I'd like to get one someday, more of the racey style and not the workhorse ones. I thought they all used belts nowdays. Never got in to the rc boats. I have 2 helis, 1 1/10 nitro ST that I converted into a General Lee and 1 quad-copter. That thing is fun. Go to tower hobbies.com and start a wish list! They got radios in there for $1500! I belong to about 10 forums ranging from Cadillac forum to pinball and build your own arcade.com, Guru of 3D, Toms hardware(computer stuff) air guns regular guns. I am going to mess with the pinball one tonight for a while. Its virtual pinball on your pc using real table models. I built an arcade machine, I restored a dart machine. Can't forget the home made fireworks. On and on.............I do my own repair thing here also. Very slow this winter. Last summer it was every day. Just a few pics of fun things. My car which has been dead for some years(Thats not it but the same)And watching the news and seeing this garbage truck(thats where I used to work as a mechanic)The driver said the truck blew a tire but we all knew he fell asleep behind the wheel. He would fall asleep standing.

Cottage cottage cottage. That for me involves maintaining bikes, boats, recreational equipment etc and the building + property itself. Between that and drinking beer up there(lol) it chews up 100% of my time.
