I am still friggin around with my clutching and was wondering what everybody else had settled on with their Hyperlite secondarys. I started with 46.8 gram base weight heavy hitters and went with just tip weight like Chris suggested but I didn't like the feel at midrange when the sled was under load. It seemed like it just blasted right through the midrange to peak power then spun the track with no hookup. I've added both heel weight and middle hole weight and the butt dyno says its better but I haven't had a chance to really test it in the deep. Anybody got any numbers out there??

What sled? I have HH and a hyperlite on my piped and ported sx 700. I have not had the chance to fine tune it but its close.

The sled is a modded SRX 156 track, ported, 19 42 gearing, airbox mod etc etc lightweight. I'm just curious about where guys are ending up roughly I don't think any 2 will be identical. Thanks

I have not had a chance to play with one yet but a friend is running one on his 800 Poo & loves it.... He lightened the springs bigtime from what he was running & dropped some primary weight.... With the belt off he can push his primary closed with his thumb & two fingers! He says you need to think outside of the box when tuning this secondary. Good luck & keep us informed please. Bushman

My primary spring is still the stock pink*3 that came on the mtn srx. Chris shipped me a PEM 4 helix which I think is 47/49 or 49/47 or something.Clutching isn't my strong suit.

I'll check my setup togniht or this weeked.

But I think I have a 47/44, I upped the spring load from 6 to 7. I went one size smaller on the allen screw and I need to put jus a little in the tip. I also switched to the next size up roller.

I run the lt blue HC spring however the Black HH spring works nearly as well.

I know that was not too specific but I want to wait and give the right info first.

Well was out yesterday and got all kinds of different results. On some pulls the sled would pull around 8490 then on a different pull I'd get 7900 like I wasn't getting my shift. Should I pull out some tip weight and go for the overrev?

Sounds like you have secondary problems not primary. If your sled is pulling different r's from 1 pull to another. Try tightening up the secondary spring, sounds like it maybe sucking the belt in if your only pulling 7900. You need to have consistent shifts first before making the rpm change with the primary. Check the clutches for heat after a couple pulls.............SRXtreme

Somebody on here had a problem with some loctite seeping out and causing some weird results. I have not experienced it. Search the forums here or it might have been on snowest.com. I would call PEM if you can not find it.
