Hey guys, I was thinking about putting custom running boards on my sled to reduce snow build up. Do any of you have pictures of homemade ones? Or plans to make some? 2003 yamaha sx viper
What were you planning to do with the heat exchangers? You could install a large "U" cooler under the tunnel to replace them? Then you can do what ever you want with the running boards. The other option is to leave the coolers as is and roll your existing boards out to be wider. There is a billet edge off an arctic cat sled that will work or you can go with ones off an apex. This is the route I went. I'm very happy with the results. You should be able to find some detailed threads on this mod if you do some searching.

Not sure why your getting snow build up. The running boards stay pretty well clear on mine. Any snow is melted off by the coolers. I also did the tunnel roll and love it. I also have rox sled treads on the other and they are really nice. They don't make them anymore but I think viperking still has a pair for sale.
