Just a tech post if anyone has been dealing with a similar problem. I pulled my coolant valve apart today to fix the drip that had been coming and going all winter. I pulled the valve apart and was able to find a new o-ring for the valve stem locally. The plug valve is plastic and stays in the body when you take the cap off. The aluminum top part has the stainless lock tab captive between two pieces. There is a single o-ring that seals this part to the body. There is a spring that pushes down into the plug valve and up into the handle to keep the clip tight. The o-ring is a 2.5mm thickness 11mm inside 16mm outside diameter. Works like a charm now.
