Want to tune my clutch up, seems tired. What can I do to fix it up and what are good ways of cleaning/replacing parts? 1988 Phazer 485. Replaced primary spring this past summer and blew it out with compressed air. Not much else done. Would like to address secondary clutch also. Any tips?

Take them apart. Clean, replace worn parts. Thats really about it.

in other words, check the bushings in both the cap and sliding sheave along with the rollers, roller bushings, weight bushings and be sure the weights arent worn. then you have the sliders where the spider rides. clean and not worn is what your checking for.
open her up and see what you have. you will need special tools or a shop to get to the sliding bushing.

I assume it fits all YPZ clutches ?Clutch tune up kit for your sled.

It may fit all of them. The kit number is in the regular parts listing, so you could look up other sleds and check to see if it is the same number.
A kit contains bushes and washers etc., 41 pieces total. It does not contain the white plastic sliders. I bought a kit many years ago and have replaced parts only as needed and still have not used most of it. So you may be better off (cheaper) to buy the individual parts you need.
