I'm trying to cut down on the rolling resistance on my SRX. I know the Polaris idlers will give me a little more size for the rails. What i'm looking for is bearings. Is there another bearing other then factory that would be better. I seen ceramic bearings but they are a small fortune. Any ideas guys?

Remove grease from bearings and use something lighter like a gear oil. Those new sliders are supposed to be extra slick aswell. Some snowboard wax on bottom of skis might help a bit too. No experience with those ceramic bearings.

This is the seller that I am getting from now. Abec5 or better and some of the smoothest bearings I have ever replaced with.

I also did my chain case bearings and tensioner with this sellers bearings. Just popped off the inside seal on the upper and lower and both on the tensioner.

I've been using the yamaha HP graphite slides, part number SMA-8CW92-70-HP. I think they costed me around $20 per side.

How do your clips look. You could buff those up next time the track is out.

new track last year and a half. New hyfaxs. Also thinking of using different gears as well to take the bend out of the chain. Has anyone used a 24/39 gearing?

There is a thread on vmax4.com where detailed explanation of blue printing the skid is explained. It entails squaring up the jackshaft to the driver axle and the rear axle. It states you can push the sled around easily with one hand. That should free up a lot of power.

Would a Yamaha dealership have that? Or maybe something from the factory? Might be hard to get seeing they are old Iron now. But I'm still running mine.

if your serious, contact me here. for a stamp and envelope and a few copy dollars i can mail you some copies from the yamaha factory grass drag manual. info is more specific to certain models but it does apply to any sled if you read past a few items.
