Why do some have heated carbs and others don't.? Can a head/topend that has the cooLant hose to the carbs be swapped to a motor that doesn't? Also, will the carbs inter change ?

98+ had the heated carbs. only difference is the heating system.

It was added to prevent carbs from icing in deep snow usage. You can just plug the head line location, its not needed most of the time I turn them off anyway.
