Rubbed Heat Exchanger

I noticed the other day I am missing a front protector and that my studs rubbed on heat exchanger, is this to much damage? Should I pull studs?
I noticed my track was pretty loose hanging when I jacked it up could that be the cause? 2002 SRX 1" track with studs just a hair over the lugs.

If your running studs i would get some protectors on there or pull the studs. your ok but wouldnt want to push it any more. And tighten that track till then.

I would tighten track back up and replace protector. About the same (or less work) and should be done any ways. Replacement protectors usually have a post sticking out the top than you rivet the bottom.

Those are the protectors I have, well 1 left anyway, don't know what happen to this one! So the cooler will be fine?

My rear cooler looks the same way, 300 lb buddies skidoo broke so he had to ride with me 20 miles back, lets just say the proaction doesnt like it when your hitting 5ft moguls at 70 mph
