I will start by saying I tried a search but admittedly suck at navigating these forums, Can someone please tell Me what size and thread pitch and length bolt I need to do the water clutch
removal trick on MY 2002 vmax 700 ?

I tried to find one locally also, it is an oddball metric size nobody had. What I did was order 2 pullers on ebay and cut one down to use. $25. each. I had a broke off clutch bolt in the crank and the puller wanted to bend inside the clutch. Used a lot of teflon tape on the threads and I used ATF instead of water...it doesnt take much.
 
Yammi, you might be right... local yami dealer couldnt tell me for sure, or match it up (not much help as they got out of sleds a few years ago). They sent me to John Deere dealer to see if they had that size, nope. Tried local tractor supply and hardware store. Then I decided to cut my puller down and order a new one.
 
I've been doing clutch tuning all season. I've had the clutch off my mtn max at least 5 times already this season. I have the epi puller and it works awesome. The thread pitch for the puller is 18 mm by 1.5mm. The first time it was stuck good and I was a little scared but loaded it up with a breaker bar until I couldnt force it anymore then wacked it with a hammer. Now it jumps off with just a little preload. I will never work on the primary in the sled again. I can pull it in less time than I can walk the cover off going round and round.
 
Thanks to everyone. I am going to try the Hydraulic method this weekend. But have a EPI puller on order.
 
So a 3 dollar 18mm 1.5 pitch bolt Teflon tape and a little hydraulic fluid and she came flying off.
