I got 144 studs on my sled, bottomed it out and scratching rear rad, how can I prevent this
The rear protectors are an oddball, only fit 96 XT 500/600 and 97 Vmax 4.
I'm not saying you couldn't make them work?
Yea my rear scratched above mud flap, was thinking about lifting but not sure what to do
Do you have the tunnel protectors in? This should prevent this
I understand the proper fitting parts make for an easier installation, but can you modify the "wrong" ones easily to fit?
The reason I ask is that I installed tunnel and front heat exchanger protectors on my Venture. When I ordered them, I didn't know what they looked like, and was surprised on how simple they were. The tunnel protectors were simple plastic strips and heat exchanger protectors were simple pieces of square metal, with mounting ears. Both are held in place by rivets. Neither were expensive, but both could have been easily fabbed at home.
A picture is worth a thousand words. Thanks. You have a lot more going on inside your tunnel than my Venture.I have updated my post, #3 to answer your question better.
Shorter studs,,,, increase track tension...................that skid is not made for 15' jumps..............
