Suspension upgrade for 99 SRX

Hey I know this has been said on here Alot, because I've read Alot of other forums in regards to it. But what are my options to swap my suspension on my srx. I know sc3 and 4. M10. Edge. But which sleds are using those. Ie years so I can find them. I'm thinking take off rather than rebuilding what I got. A previous owner has swapped it to a skidoo 1. But that's all I know. The guy I bought it from rebuilt it and put the factory 1 back in. I would like one with more travel for softer trail riding when I head up north. But back home its ditch banging. So I need something all around good. Thanks
 
Thanks for the quick response. I've started looking into it. I've found out its made in Quebec but haven't found a price. How does compare to a take off from another manufacturer skid. Has anybody installed one. Can I get their 2 cents on it
 
I have no experience with the expert x. I do have a m10 and it is a good ride but if you want that ripping your arms off feeling when you hammer on it then it is not good for that. The mono shock seems to be a great all around skid but not great in any one particular way. Both are way better than the pro action in my opinion and I would never go back. It all depends on your riding style and how much money you want to spend.
 
Hey thanks for the info guys. I've spent so much time bouncing from one question to another. Theirs a million people wondering the same as me. I was able to find a MSRP of 2000 in someone comment in a forum about Expert x. But of course that was a comment and not right from the manufacturer website. So for the price of it and sled. I may be better of with upgrading to a newer one with reverse and e start. Or even the m10 starting at 1300 depending on shocks. But Looks like your right drew24. Expert x is all around good, only beating the m 10 in ease of adjustments I think.

I'm looking for an upgrade on a buget. Any experience with skidoo sc 10. I'm still researching trying to find reviews of other peoples builds. But sound pretty easy. As long as you measure right And is there any easy ways to figure out which skids will fit. Instead of researching every sled. The wreckers by me are parting out a handful of sleds

you can check with the seller and see if they have the chassis it came out of. they likely do. you want center of drivers to front hole. inside top of tunnel down to front hole. front hole to rear hole. and inside top of tunnel down to rear hole. Then just transfer those numbers to your sled. In that link Bluewho has a really simple install if you happen to get one that shares his measurements.
