I have a 2001 srx with some cracks starting on the sheaves. I found a 03 viper er clutch. Besides the weights and spring is this clutch the same? Also since it is a er model does the ring gear just unbolt? Or do I need to pass on it? Thanks for your help. Also if I do look at it, it supposedly has lower miles is there anything to look for besides cracks, obvious wear or damage?

Same exact clutch and yes the ring gear just unbolts. Simply swap in your weights, spring and good to go.

Just make sure the sheaves look good. you will be replacing the rollers, weights and spring with yours. If they let ya take primary cover off to remove spring and see if moveable sheave goes side to side smoothly To check bushings. But if lower miles should be good.
