2000 700 mountain max bog

Hey guys first time posting. I've been having some trouble with my new to me Yamaha with triple pipes. Everytime I go for a ride the sled starts bogging after 5000rpm. I tried cleaning carbs and rejetting to recommend jets and needle position. Also bypassed the tors switch and compression is decent (117) and even across all three cylinders. Heres is a video of what it should like after hitting said rpms.


Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated thanks

Sure sounds like tors or a partially fouled plug.

That sounds like the tors to me....check to ensure you bypassed it correctly. The two wires from the sleds wiring harness that lead to the tors switch on the carb rack need to be plugged into each other.
If tors is bypassed correctly then check the wiring harness that runs to the tors.
 
Ok thanks for the suggestion ill check the wiring harness as far as I know I did the delete properly checked as few resources online and looked right. Also have a few ignition coils coming tomorrow so ill put those on while I'm checking the harness. Hopefully one of those things work thanks

Just make sure tors is bypassed and plugged into itself on the sled side. The carbs don’t matter.
 
Hey guys sorry it took so long to report back.
So I finally installed the new coils and double and triple checked the tors also unplugged it to make it activate and the difference I found is obviously the tors wont let you throttle back up again unless it drops under a certain rpm and the problem I'm having it will let me throttle back up no problem just wont get to full rpms.
Also installed new plugs and gapped them properly.
Hopefully that makes some sense would there be anything else you could think of to try?
 
Try running it with the choke on and see if anything changes....it sounds like it could possibly be starving for fuel.
Does it do it when its cold or after its warmed up?
 
It does it when it it's cold or warm. Choke doesn't seem to make a difference when wot but will choke the engine out at idle.
 
Just in case someone has the same problem as me and comes across this thread just wanted to update and say it was the stator that was toast
