04 venom 600 oiler adjustment question

Hi Im having issues with my venom eating alot of oil. it runs good but smokes alittle more than i feel is normal and the plugs are always black and goes threw alot of oil! can anyone know what the specs are and you use the cable adjuster to adjust it? first time ever messing with an oiler so want to make sure im not mess up lol its my wifes sled so she might be mad if i melt it down lol

yes you adjust it by the cable. i would check that it is in spec 1st as if the oil pump has failed, it defaults to wot on the oil pump all the time.

Would you happen to know what the spec is?

spec is supposed to be 23 mm +/- 1mm on the cable under the boot that covers the thread and nut. you measure from the nut to the cable along the threads.
