I have the top end apart on my viper. While I am waiting for a new piston and gasket is there any port clean up or polishing that is worth doing?

Cool thanks! I did all of that and polished the exhaust ports. Cylinders just came out of the dishwasher and are ready for the piston to come tomorrow! Hope the head gasket shows up soon... getting snow tonight!
