Hi !

I have put an Mikuni VM-34 carb on my ET-340 engine,
Have someone else here done it on a ET-340 engine ?

I would like to know what jetting you have found work !

Any help appreciated.

THANX !

I left the heat shield in place from the old carb,
but I do not think it is necessary.

hey not only is the heat sheild important but you should make a sheild that deverts air coming out of your fan shroud away from you uni filter keepin the air going to your filter cool and constant i had to do it to mine when i went to filters and socks. you can attach the sheild to your clutch cover that way it gets sent out of the motor area hope that helps

On the clutch cover it is already an hot air divider,
but on the pictures it is not in place since the secondary clutch is off.

I have concerns on the angle of your carb. Can you put an angle finder on the top and tell us what it is ?

What is your concern about the angle of the carburetor ?
I have been running this setup for the last 3 seasons without any problems.

Just thought since your asking about jetting specs after 3 years of running it that way the problem might not be jet related and more an angularity problem that's all.

Sorry guys, the VM-36/38 is a completly different carburetor then the one I using,

Are you running the stock air box with that?

Thanks,
