If I wanted to lower my gearing a little on my SRX would I have to do anything with the clutching? The sled is all stock, just wanted to drop one tooth on the upper gear.

i don,t think so. one tooth splitting hairs. it will improve acceleration and scuff mph slightly. 3:16x (yammie tony)

Dropping 1 tooth on the small is all most the same as adding 3 to the big.

Do you have the traction to get the extra "grunt" to the ground w/o trenching? Spinning isn't winning.

It's not studded but it does hook up really good.Do you have the traction to get the extra "grunt" to the ground w/o trenching? Spinning isn't winning.

What ratio are you running now and what will you be going to? It won't cost much to try, but I'd guess that you will need to reclutch to get the most out of it. All things being equal You'll be lightening the load on the motor so it will rev faster and will want to over rev due to seeing less load.
