Just Purchased A 2002 SRX 700

Myself, I'm not exactly sure...I would assume that it is clutched, jetted and overall tuned at a more advanced stage for racing/performance.

Congrats on your purchase. Hope she runs well. I just google maped your location. Wow, you are in Eastern Canada Northward no where!

Yeppppp, way up there. And I also live in a isolated town...to add to the loveeee! lol. Also, for everyone who owns an SRX, SXR, Viper, Vmax SX, Mountain Max, etc. etc. etc., check out this facebook page. Seeing how there is no actual dedicated page. The title of the facebook group is below (it is not a link):

Yamaha SRX, SXR & Vipers

I had a Simmons CPR 780BB on my 02 Srx back in the early 2000's and was able to leave DCS hooked up. That was the most reliabe and stongest running 780 BB at the time. The pistons are Wiseco and they don't last that long so I would keep an eye on them. I changed the fist set at less than 1000 miles because CPR updated the piston design and added six small holes to the intake side of the skirts in a v pattern to get more lube and I had that set coated by Swaintech. I didn't put many miles on that set and ended up selling the topend and going back to stock only because I bought a newer sled and the 780 was more than the wife needed. If you plan to race the sled I would leave the 780 on it but if you plan to put some miles on it I would shelf the 780 and put a stock top end back on it. Still have my 02srx and also plcked up a 2000 srx, great sleds!

Just got another update from the seller. The SRX will come with a cover, billet wheels and koso temp gauge. The billet wheels and temp gauge are brand new and never installed.
