I can get it for $500 and its in pretty good shape. Right side is blown and will need but and piston. Had tripple pipes and a few extras. Should I buy? Should I fix? Should I part out? And would I make my money back if I part out?

Easily make money parting it out.
Could be a cheap back up sled if it only needs a top end.
Fun project sled also. I wouldn't hesitate to pick it up at that price.

Very very cheap, buy it. Find a great used crank, new piston kit and whatever else (cylinders, head) on eBay or Craigslist. At $500, you can do a nice fresh rebuild for a price you'd pay for a Viper in running condition.
I have 3 sleds already so I ma just part it out
