Thumb Throttle Question

Why the elongated hole for the thumb throttle pin? Gives it an odd double action that I guess I never noticed until I went to adjust the gap. I had to pull the thumb throttle off to ensure nothing was broken. Is this part of the TORS function? Any advice on how to properly set the gap for the throttle?

yes its part of the tors system, i think you need 3-5 mm of cable slack for the system to work right. you will have to look up the spec
 
^^^what he said. System helps in the case of a stuck throttle. The throttle sliding deactivates the tors so it knows the throttle is actually being pushed.
 
Spec is 2mm but do what trek4ward said and stick to the bigger gap. I adjust by putting the throttle to the bar and just make sure throttle on carb is all the way up. Leaves you with a lot of slack but takes care of any torrs issues as i like to have all of mine hooked up and working.

That sounds like the best advice and agree that the TORS should be connected. Mine was not when I bought it.
