Removing air box

Has anyone removed airbox and installed a aircleaner on the end of carb on a srv what jet size is recommended

Why would want to do this?what carb r you running ? There are pro's and con's jet size sound be change a few size's all depends what carb you have and what you are trying to achieve .

Some say the box is restrictive would it help for more power helpin to draw more air in

Not sure about an SRV but I've read about people doing this to other sleds and it made the carbs terrible finicky.

Ya, other sleds have . Have to reject carbs. Mybe to start rear low on air jet ?

That air box will out flow the carb. Your going to draw warm air and likely make less hp

And if it's a trail sled it will suck in powdery snow, then freeze and ice over, then die until the ice is defrosted off the filter.

You'll kick yourself repeatedly for doing it.
