Does anybody know how much oil goes in the chaincase or how tight the chain should be?

There is a Philips head screw at the back of the case. U have to get at it through the footwell with a long screw driver . Pull that screw and fill till it comes out.
Re tension. Pull cotter pin on tensioner bolt ( back side as well) thread in till it stops by hand back off approx 1/2 turn and replace pin. This should really be done with cover off to confirm deflection

Welcome to the site chazdo2.
My 80's sleds (79-80 Enticers and 82 440's) as well as my 90's machines all use gear lube.
I use synthetic 75w90

The Exciter must be a different animal then? I have never had one.
