1987 Yamaha Excel iii EC340L Idle issues

I have a 1987 Yamaha EC340L which has been sitting for 18 years! I pulled it out, replaced the battery, changed fluids and gas and it would not start. Pulled carburetor and cleaned. Sled fires up on full choke and the place choke in mid position, warm up setting but once I turn choke off it stalls. The only way to keep the sled running is on mid choke and high rpms. Any ideas on what to check, adjust etc. I'm not a mechanic and doing this for the first time.

Carbs are probably dirty again. Double check pilot jet. I'd do a compression check too on something been sitting for that long. Engine seals could be dried out, also.
