What would make my carb leak by the drain plug. It's coming from the pointy piece beside the drain plug??
Thank for any info

Here's a pic

Take the float bowl off and check inside. I had one crack and you could not really see it from outside and it was leaking. But the crack was seen from inside.

Didn't think so on the JB weld I got that idea from a cat guy.
I'll pull the carbs off this weekend and see what's going on in there. I would have never noticed if my brother wasn't there being annoying like little brother's are. At first I thought he was joking again but this time he wasn't m. LOL 😁

All I can picture is a big fireball w/ jb on fuel related shtuff.

It might not be the preferred method of repair, but it does work. 10 years ago, I broke one of the "posts" that holds the float assembly. I used a plastic straw as a form and poured a new post with JB weld. That bike is still running today.

That "pointy piece" is the nipple where you install the float adjusting sight tube.

The brass colored set screw next to it is the on/off valve if you will. It has a tapered end on it as a seal.
See if the tapered end on the screw is corroded, or the screw is just loose?

Going tomorrow to a local performance shop they think they have a couple of them lying around. Got some snow in the forecast and I want to be able to ride...
