radius rod ends........... flat side in or out?

As many times as I've had the radius rods off my sleds to paint them or what ever I always labeled them.Well this time I did too but they got tore off or something while I was shuffling parts around during my refit of the chassis.So I need to ask a question about the heim joint orientation,and as you all probably know there's a flat side to them and I need to know which way that's supposed to face.Towards the engine or out to the bumper?Or does it even matter?

does the diagram give you any indication.Kinda looks like flatside to the inside to me if you zoom the pic.

I've looked at that pic before and really was hard pressed to tell absolutely but like you say it looks like the flat side goes into the bulkhead,that's the way I put them back on.
