To my understanding, the Aaen and Bender pipes (identical), came with both a center dump (stock outlet) and rear outlet as you have there...

Oh ok so This may in fact be OK to run with my other 93 Phazer II. However my 93 Phazer is absolutely mint and stock. Not sure I want to go hacking holes in it just yet.

It's an aaen for a phazer would make a couple hp but if your 93 is mint I wouldn't mess with it.

Thanks guys! Why would AAEN make two different exit points? Is the rear exit pipe better for flow than the center dump?

Different pipes for different applications but more of owner preference.

My original psi pipe on my 1st Phazer in the "80"s was rear dump so I had to cut a new hole. When I got my second Phazer in "90", psi had pipes available that exited the stock exhaust hole so I bought a new one rather than cut a hole in my brand new sled. Just progress over a few years. I would imagine that it was the the same way over at aaen. Just progress.

Now that you mention it. This pipe does look alot like my old Exciter did... Theres no way the phazer and exciter were interchangeable right?

No, they wouldnt interchange. If that pipe fits under the fan scoop on your phazer, then it would be a Phazer pipe..If it doesnt then my strong guess it that its an Exciter pipe.

aaen actually built 3 phazer pipes .......... quiet can, which exited the stock hole ....torquer pipe and race pipe both need new exit holes cut .....the race pipe has a straight silencer while the torquer has a flared one like you have pictured .....but the EX 570 pipe looked just like the torquer too

If anyone is interested Im going to sell this pipe. make me an offer! I purchased a DG center dump... which I noticed does alow some exhaust smoke into the engine hull. That cant be good. looks like the flange is slightly different that the stock pipe. is this normal?
any suggestions?

Could also be a 440 Exciter pipe.
