-remove flywheel and stator
-remove primary clutch
-take carbs off
-take coils and mount off
-pull reeds out
-Remove the pistons
-take waterpump cover off
-remove engine mounts that bolt to the crankcase on both halves,I think they all do if memory serves me correct
-if your engine has one take off the engine torque rod mount
Basically everything has to come off the cases except the oil pump unless you want to remove it so it doesn't get damaged.Once your tore down this much you should be able to start removing the bolts holding the cases together, just remember there's going to be oil in there so be prepared for a mess.Use a soft face mallet or deadblow hammer to tap the cases to separate them and then scrap all the old sealant off the two halves.Replace the seals, put new sealant on the cases, bolt them together and torque the bolts, flip the cases right side up,bolt the oil pump back on and attach the oil lines, put some oil back into the base through the intake ports and just bolt everything back on.
