97 vmax 700sx needle valve screens

The 97's never came with the screens on the needle valves for some reason, would that hurt anything if I added them?

I don't think it would hurt as it is like a filter.

I wonder why they never put them on the 97 700sx's....98 and newer had them and some of the older sleds did too.

I don't know I've wondered about that to it doesn't make sense.

My 96 didnt either? I know a lot of guys take them out on all their sleds. I would leave it as it came if it were mine.
