The wife and I just purchased matching xtc sleds they are perfect for us...... her 500 has 1500 miles on it and my 600 has 3700 miles. I just wanted the experts advice is there anything we should watch for on these sleds? We will be ditch riding with them most the time we put on 65 miles yesterday. I did notice my sled the temp light would flicker now and then but if I backed off it would go off and stay off any ideas?

Nothing to worry about on them but they are a little bit of a gas hog.
Temp light flickering is a loose wire mine does it some times and if I wiggle the wire it stops.

Yamahamark is right about being a gas hog. The Yamaha twins are pretty hard on gas but they are good tough motors. They also start really easy even on the coldest morning.

Check the oil level in the tank. The float is tied to the temp light...
So can I fix the temp light? Will it ever come on and really be hot? My sled is also kinda darty any easy cheap fix?

You can fix it by finding another plugin and wiring it in. If you have a darting issue I assume you have stock steel skis. Get ride of them and get your self a set of plastic skis.
