I'm interested to see what you guys think about this one.
When the revs drop below 2500 or so (slowing down to cross a road, going down steep hill, etc...) then hitting the throttle again without coming to complete stop, the engine just winds out but won't hook up. I have to wait momentarily for the revs to go to zero before it will run normally but it always comes back. Been dealing with this for years and finally trying to get it figured out.
I've been told the throttle cable may be too loose but not sure how to tighten it up. Also could be a bad switch under the throttle lever. I've taken the lever off, white cone washers seem fine but I've ordered new ones just case. Should I spray some silicone in around those switch contacts that engage with the throttle hinge?
I need a new track as well, but I'd like to get this throttle issue resolved before I invest in one so any input would be appreciated.
