Ring debris on head?

I lost compression on my 99 Venture 500. I removed the head and lost the mag side piston top ring. I have a rebuilt cylinder and new pistons, my question is there is minor ring debris on the head. What is the best way to clean this up without having to buy a new head?

Pick out any pieces of the ring that are embedded. Clean the head as best as you can. Like with carbon cleaner or oven cleaner and a wire brush. Use the ball end of a ball peen hammer and flatten down any marks in the head. It doesn't have to be perfect, just fairly flat.
