Mrviper......You said in an earlier post that the Hauck silver secondary spring has too much rate. How does the Yamaha silver spring rate compare? What I'm asking is, will the Yami spring provide enough side pressure to prevent the belt from pulling in? It's on the edge of doing it right now. Also on the weight rivets, what if I just take out the inner rivets and leave the outer ones in place, I think I need less weight to get the shift speed up to where it belongs. I do have a straight shift now.

ya, the yamaha silver will hold the intial shift fine for ya, and it wont hold back the topend like that hauck one will. take out some weight in the first hole, you have 8bu-00 right? try a .8 gram alum in the first hole with a 4.5 in the tip. If you go to a shallow finish helix, you can add more tip weight and the sled will have more topend, from the shallow finish and increased tip weight. Did I tell you about using a 1/4"-28 tap and running bolts and nuts in the weights, cause sometimes youll need more then the 4.5 rivet.??

I ran against a 05 1000 at with my stock 00srx I had just put viper shocks in it and didn't have it set up right(way to much trasfer) anyways...we were close till about 80 and then he put about 4 lengths on me...an we both seemed to top out at 110 on the speedo... it was also 45 degrees that day on the lake....planing on trying it again this weekend now that I have made some suspension changes and the temp has droped.. took 1000 cat that and everything else except for the z..not bad when you giving up 300cc, fuel injection, and 5 years research and development....
