ive got a viper motor with around 5ooo miles on it, but its been sitting for a few years. was going to rering it but got to thinking ( I know, all you do is get in trouble) should I get the crank checked and install new crank seals? is it a lot of work to split the case? what do you use to seal the case? thanks guys , learn a lot from this site

how was it stored? Crank seals last a long time!

I would tear it down, check all the bearings and rods, replace seals. It is cheap to inspect.

I'm in agreement. Plan on doing it with the three 2 strokes we have that have been sitting for a few years unused. Take out the motor, flip it and split the cases
