Is there a preferred location to install the circlips with the gaps at 6 o'clock or 12 o'clock on MM700 pistons?

Where is the relief hole for removing the circle clip? 6 or 12 shouldn't matter not 9 or 3 for sure. I wouldn't want the ring ends in the pick hole. If the hole is at 3 or 9 then it really shouldn't matter.

install at the 12 or 6 position. i always do them straight up as this keeps the end farthest away from the pick hole
