SX Viper burnt down, help with what to replace with....

My 02 Viper with triples lost the middle piston last night. Sled has 2500 miles and is mint. The dealer is offering my sled as is plus 10k for a holdover 2015 APEX or $8500 for a 2016 Viper LTX. What to do??? Only 3 weeks of riding left and I'd rather not have a sled I can't trust and wait for repairs.
 
I would rebuild it this summer and not think twice about it. Get it pulled apart, have the bottom inspected for debris get the cylinder replated or replaced and do rings on all 3 holes while its torn down. Get the head cut to equalize compression and ride it. Do a real good carb cleaning because most likely that's what caused your burn down. If the cylinder was onl lightly scuffed and caused a loss of compression it will be an easy fix.
