CB drop brackets and 8 tooth drivers on sx viper 04 s

Please if i am posting in the wrong place let me know. I am new here.
So i purchased and installed the CB drop brackets in my 2004 sx viper s. It also has 8 tooth drivers in it. My concern is weather or not i have enough clearence between the track and the top of the front shock throughout its complete travel. I curently do not have the chain case on so can not fully check for myself yet. I am thinking it will hit by the looks of things. So I have been serching for a 4.25 inch idler wheel that would have a 20mm id bearing That would also fit the wheel. No luck. My thought is if I increas the idler wheel from the stock 3.325" to 4.25" i would gain about a 1/2 " clearence.
Has anyone run into this? If so any sugestions?

I personally don't know but I would think that a bigger idler wheel would get you the clearance you need but even with the smaller idler wheel you should be fine.
 
Problem is I can not locate a 4.25" wheel that will accept a 20mm id bearing. I believe it would have been ok with a 9 tooth driver but not an 8 tooth.
 
I have ran 8 tooth drivers with no issues. I also ran cb drop brackets with 9 tooth drivers with no problems. You should be fine. I also run Polaris wheels which are the 4.25 you are looking for. Do a search for Polaris idler wheels and it will tell ya which model to get them from. Work awesome to save hyfax. If I find link I will post.
 
pioneer performance had a kit that placed bearings at each side of the shock to prevent the track from rubbing but i believe they went out of business. not sure if another company makes. could probably just make your own with a longer bolt, sleeve, and bearings.
 
Pioneer motorsports dealership is still there, just not Bruce. Bruce was the guy to go to for yamaha's. I still have his old number, think I will try to give him a call. I had a friend that was a mechanic there, He was a racer also and that was helpfull. He was the BEST!!! He use to do all the work on my sleds. He no longer works on anything. So now I am doing all my own work. I found i can not trust anyone to do the work corectly. So I must learn.
