What rear heat exchangers will fit a 02 Viper. Will all the SRX's years fit. Will the vier mountain fit a 02. I think they made them starting in 03. The 02 SRX new is $245 and the viper mountain is $190 new. Just wondering which is better. my guess would be the SRX

I would use the srx cooler. All year srx coolers are the same. Just have to drill some holes for the rivets and a hole for the bleed screw.

Got some snow so I ran both 02 Vipers this weekend in a couple inches of snow. Mine ran fine the wife's temperature light came on after about 2 miles doing around 20mph. she noticed it we stopped put snow on the exchangers cooled down and we were good. went out again and same thing happened at the same spot. This time she was riding in the powder more. So I'm putting on Rear heat Exchangers on both of them. I also bought Dura flex Ice scratchers. The heat exchangers from a SRX will just bolt on with no modifications to the tubing? I know the bleed hole is in a different spot. Also on the Ice scratchers. Where should I mount them? Some people have them on the inside ski's, I've heard others mount them on the front track rail? On the ski's I would have to drill through the aluminum plate. not sure if that would weaken it

I ran the RSI scratchers withe the wheel kit. Mounted on second rail boggie and the wheel kit allowed u to keep boggie. Being u already have cable scratchers I would mount as close to second front biggies as you can. Do a search I have good picks of both mounted on viper. No mods needed for Srx cooler to hoses. Just a new bleed hole.

I put the rear heat exchangers in. What a PIA I broke 4 drill bits trying to drill out the rivets. So I grinded them off took forever. Then I had to cut the white plastic things that run along the underside od the tunnel they were 1 inch to long. Used my Dremmel went through 6 metal plastic cutting discs. to cut 4 plastic pieces. So this weekend should be good and not overheat. We will probably have crappy snow up in Gaylord considering it was 58 degrees in Toledo 2 days ago. It will be a good test for the sleds. Are there any good ways to get rivets out, grinding works by it takes a while.
