Just picked up a 98 SRX 600 after being a Cat triple guy. Wanted to give Yamaha a try. Sled cleaned up really good, has 4800 miles on it.

the uni filter foam is probably more dense, less air flow causing it to run a little richer but not much, I'd think you'd be fine with that.
Sorry, I just thought that looked like "alternative material", like from a matrass or something. A uni filter will be fine.
